What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser. Similar technologies, such as local storage, let a site remember information on your device in the same way. This policy covers both.
What we use
We set no cookies. We store the following items in your browser’s local storage. Neither is sent to our server or shared with anyone.

Cookie categories
Strictly necessary
Needed for features you ask for, such as saving a word or remembering your cookie choices. These cannot be switched off in our settings, but you can delete them from your browser at any time.
Functional
Would remember optional preferences. We do not currently use any functional cookies or storage beyond the strictly necessary items above.
Analytics
Would help us understand how the site is used. We do not currently use any analytics services. If we add one, it will only run after you allow analytics in your cookie settings.
Advertising
Would be used to show or measure adverts. We do not show adverts or use advertising cookies. If this changes, advertising will only run after you allow it.
Third-party cookies
No third-party services are embedded in our pages, so no other company can set cookies through VocabularyBase. Websites you visit by following an external link have their own cookie policies.
Changing or withdrawing consent
When you first visit, a banner lets you accept all, reject all or choose categories. You can change your choice at any time, and your new choice applies immediately.
You can also use the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page, or clear this site’s data in your browser settings. Clearing site data also removes your saved words.
